How is the plastic injection mold made?

When designing a mold for a product, the basic structural size of the mold should be set first to prepare materials to speed up the mold manufacturing.
For complex products, the product drawing should be drawn first, and then the size of the mold should be determined.
The current mold basically needs heat treatment to increase the hardness of the mold and improve the service life of the mold.
Before heat treatment, the template shall be preliminarily processed: The Guide Pillar Hole and the return hole (Dynamic mode), Cavity hole, screw hole, gate sleeve hole (Dynamic mode)
Cooling water holes, etc. , milling flow channels and cavities, and milling inclined guide boxes for some molds.
At present, the templates of ordinary precision molds are generally made of cr12, cr12mov and some professional mold steels. The hardness of cr12 and the like cannot be too high and often cracks at hrc60 degrees, the common hardness of the template is generally about hrc55 degrees. The hardness of the core can be above hrc58.
If the material is 3cr2w8v, the surface hardness after nitriding treatment is made, the hardness should be above hrc58, and the thicker the nitriding layer should be, the better.
