The origin of the workpiece coordinate system is also called the workpiece zero point or the programming zero point, and its position is determined by the programmer. The principle of determining the origin of the workpiece is convenient for programming calculation, so the origin of the workpiece should be set at the size reference or process reference of the part drawing as far as possible. Generally speaking, the origin of the workpiece of the numerical control milling machine can be located on a corner of the outer profile of the workpiece, or on the symmetrical center of the symmetrical workpiece, and the 0. 1 in the z-axis direction can be located on the surface of the workpiece. The origin of the workpiece for precision parts processing is generally selected at the intersection point between the center line of the spindle and the right or left end face of the workpiece.
